The location of the hotel is perfect, with its secluded grounds providing a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with comfortable beds and luxurious bedding. The service provided by the friendly and passionate staff is impeccable, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. the daily fresh bread at the door and evening wine tastings add a special touch to the experience.

It is a bit challenging to think of anything negative about this amazing hotel.

José, the owner, hooked us up with dope restaurant recs and the pool was on fleek. The fridge was always stocked and we got fresh bread delivered to our door every morning. We even went cycling around the area, it was lit!

The only thing we'd ask for is a lit party spot for us youngins. A sick nightclub or a banging bar nearby would've taken our stay to the next level.

We had an exceptional stay at Villa Margaridi. The location is like stepping into a hidden oasis, secluded yet close to all the shops and restaurants. The villa itself is beautifully maintained and full of history and beauty. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the extra touches like fresh bread and croissants every morning made us feel special. The hospitality of José and the rest of the staff was top-notch, making us feel welcome and cared for throughout our stay. The grounds and gardens were stunning, perfect for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. We would definitely return to this beautiful villa.

The house was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, preserving its historical charm. We loved learning about the history of the estate and exploring the stunning Baroque Gardens. Jose and his staff were incredibly helpful, arranging taxis and providing excellent restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh bread delivered to our villa every morning. a truly enchanting experience and our new paradise in Portugal!

    Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Exceptional 10th-century mansion, beautifully renovated with stunning gardens. Well-designed rooms with a mix of antique and modern furniture. Friendly hosts provide valuable local tips. Only downside was the short stay. Highly recommended for a holiday getaway.

The historical estate and gardens were absolutely gorgeous, and the villa itself was beautifully appointed. The comfortable bed and luxurious bedding made for a wonderful night's sleep. the owner/host was incredibly engaging and went out of his way to ensure our stay was perfect. The private tour of the gardens and estate was a special, memorable experience.

While there wasn't anything that we particularly disliked, there were a few minor improvements that could have enhanced our experience. The food basket provided upon arrival could have included more local products, such as ham and cheese.

We were young holiday goers and loved the hidden oasis feel of the venue. The rooms were clean and comfortable with ensuite bathrooms. Fresh bread and croissants were delivered each morning. The host, José, was attentive and made us feel special. The property itself is beautifully maintained and full of history and beauty.

Felt safe walking at night, no complaints at all.

The hotel's decoration is absolutely charming, with its beautiful antique furniture and delicate tapestries. It made me feel like I was stepping back in time. The general areas, such as the gardens and terrace, were so peaceful and well-maintained, perfect for a relaxing stroll or sitting with a book. As a senior woman, I really appreciated the hotel's accessibility. There were ramps and handrails throughout the property, making it easy for me to navigate. It's clear that the hotel has taken the needs of older guests into consideration.

I would have loved if there were more activities specifically catered to senior people. Perhaps some gentle exercise classes or organized day trips.

The value for money at Villa Margaridi was outstanding, and the room was beautifully appointed and cozy. The location was convenient and easy to access the town on foot or by bus. The staff, especially Jose and Hugo, treated us with such warmth and hospitality, making our stay truly memorable.

The breakfast option could be enhanced by offering locally sourced ham, cheese, bread, and other ingredients to elevate the overall experience.

The historic villa exceeded expectations with attention to detail, daily fresh bread, and evening wine tastings. The large garden had a comfortable swimming pool and surprise drinks. The enchanting garden with camellia trees and fountains was a rare and magical experience. The converted barn villa was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The attentive host and manager made the stay exceptional.
